A multipurpose amplification system

 

With compact projection systems capable of delivering huge images it’s easy to overlook the need for a method of uniformly distributing the sound within the same venue. The fact is that even the brightest projectors are only equipped with minimal amplification and at best suitable for small group use only. Choosing our modular amplification systems enables input of a variety of sources including wired and wireless microphones, video, computer, compact disc and MP3 devices. The individual devices can be monitored and mixed and the final output routed to an amplifier and loudspeaker system.

 

Amplification for the hearing impaired - keep it legal

 

In 2004 the Disability Discrimination Act made it a legal requirement for all service providers, including churches and schools, to make provision for the hard of hearing. Our carefully designed systems allow input to special induction loop amplifiers connected to a radiating loop cable within the ceiling void or at lower level. Strategically displayed notices alert hearing aid users that a loop system is in place and they can therefore benefit from the facility.

 

A variety of microphones are available

 

We supply and install a range of microphones for many applications including:-

 

• Handheld, wired and wireless, for vocal use
• Lapel worn wireless, great for presenters on the move
• Head worn wireless, ideal for active sports demonstrations, aerobics, etc
• Flexible gooseneck types that can be permanently fixed to a desk or lectern
• Boundary, or plate microphones for discrete mounting on a desk, lectern or wall

 

Practical issues

 

Siting additional equipment within a busy, multipurpose area, but making it accessible when required is always a challenge. We have developed a variety of solutions to this problem including:-

 

• Wall-mounted, high efficiency loudspeakers wired to robust input points at lower level
• Mobile security cabinets that house equipment with single connection to loudspeaker point
• Wall-mounted equipment rack cabinets
• Remote systems wired to control or production rooms adjacent to the room
• Compact systems located within a desk or lectern
